Meet Alexis, Owner & Lead Planner

Hi there and welcome! My name is Alexis and I am the owner of Cheers Event Company! I am a mama of two, a firefighter wife and a corgi lover! I have been in the wedding industry for the last six years. After planning my own wedding in 2017 I realized how much I missed the process when it was over. I decided to reach out to the coordinator I  hired for my own wedding and asked if I could join her team. It wasn’t long before I realized how much I loved being in this industry! While I was assisting, I was also working full time for the City of Vernon, where I was in charge of planning all the City Community Outreach Events. I did this for 6 years. In 2020, I got pregnant and in 2021 welcomed my baby boy. I was on maternity leave when I realized I didn’t want to go back to work full time. I knew I loved working in the wedding industry, so after a lot of thought and the full support from my husband, I decided I wanted to jump in and start my own company! My passion for planning and helping other brides has grown so strong over the years and I couldn’t wait to make it my full time career. It has been the scariest, most exciting and nerve-racking thing I have ever done. I am truly thankful for the way things worked out and have never wanted to look back! Meet Kimberly, Lead Coordinator


My name is Kimberly and I have been with Cheers Event Company since July 2022! I joined the Cheers team as an assistant after countless years in bridal and fashion styling. My love for weddings started early with the creation of Pinterest and it’s never ending source of inspiration. After planning an imaginary wedding for each season, I knew I would end up in the wedding industry in some way! I started in styling for brides and bridesmaids with Nordstrom and Bella Bridesmaids and worked with Rent the Runway styling guests of weddings and red carpets. After the start of 2020, my career path took a sharp turn away from weddings and the industry I love. Soon after having my son in 2021, I met Alexis and we bonded over our love of our sons, Disney, and weddings! I am so honored to be a part of Cheers and get the opportunity to bring each couple’s vision to life on their day!


Meet Jasmin, Lead Coordinator


Hi, my name is Jasmin and although I am relatively new to the wedding industry,  my experience with event planning has expanded over a decade. A former lifestyle and beauty publicist, my transition to wedding coordination was an easy pivot because I understood what it takes to truly make an event special. As a mom of two, I have worked with both established corporate brands and scrappy startups to create events/activations that deliver results and dazzle attendants. By leading with professionalism I bring veteran event planning skills to Cheers Event Company to assist in creating a truly memorable day.


Meet Kylee, Assistant Coordinator


My name is Kylee and I am an assistant coordinator for the Cheers team. I have always dreamt of my wedding day growing up. My sister and I spent a lot of our time talking and planning our future weddings as children. When I started college I always thought I wanted to become a therapist. In may of 2022, I graduated with a Bachelors in Psychology and was set to start graduate school. When it got closer to my semester starting, I had this longing for wanting to work in the wedding industry. So, I listened to my gut and decided to step away from my goal of being a therapist and followed my heart. I have been assisting wedding planners ever since! Weddings are my passion and the validation you get after working hard to make the couple’s day perfect, is indescribable. I am so grateful to work with such a great team. Cheers is here to make all your dreams come to life!


Meet Brianna, Assistant Coordinator


Brianna grew up in the Santa Barbara and Ventura County areas. She graduated from San Diego State University in 2021 with a degree in Business Administration. While studying, her experiences in banquet serving and floral assistance sparked a passion for event planning. After five wonderful years in San Diego, she returned home to work full-time, initially as a Catering Coordinator and then as a Catering Sales Manager at North Ranch Country Club. In addition to her full time job, she enjoys collaborating with Cheers Event Company as well as spending time with family and friends. Grateful to pursue a career she loves, she strives to make special moments unforgettable. She can’t wait to create lasting memories together!
